Pre-Con Two-Part Workshop

Advanced Care Transitions Simulation (ACTS) | This interactive session discusses and demonstrates how simulation contributes to learning and interdisciplinary collaboration across the care continuum. Leveraging the ACMA standards of practice and the Transition of Care Standards, three care coordination simulations (ambulatory, acute, and community) will be presented. Audience participation in utilizing the Advanced Care Transition Simulation Assessment tool will support the process of providing feedback on evaluating clinical competency. This session challenges you to think differently and apply new strategies.

Gettin’ By – How Poverty Changes the Brain | This interactive session gives you firsthand experience of your brain in poverty, highlighting the basics of brain science. You will face real-life situations and see how you’re thinking and decision-making change. With so many things crowding the brain, people in poverty respond to certain kinds of communication and not others. In this interactive experience, you will learn how to listen for what is not spoken and respond effectively, improving your work with low-income families and clients.

Win the Wheels has become one of the most highly anticipated events at the ACMA National Conference, drawing huge crowds and excitement! In 2025, our winner left with the keys to a brand new BMW. This year, one lucky attendee will leave with a brand-new car!

How it Works:

All attendees receive a Networking Passport upon onsite registration. Attendees must receive a stamp from each Participating Company and Priority Car Partner listed on the passport. Once the passport is completed, attendees must take their passport to the ACMA Solutions Center in the Exhibit Hall where a staff member will validate that the passport is completed and give you an entry ticket for the car giveaway. Priority Car Partners have extra tickets which will increase your odds of winning the car. Be sure to visit the Priority Car Partner booths to collect extra entry tickets!

Post-Conference ACM Certification Review Workshop

Part 1: The scope of services and standards of practice provide social worker and nurse case managers with a guide by which they can engage in the practice of case management. Understanding the parameters within which the case manager practices assure uniformity of services delivered to patients in need and assists the case manager in performing the duties required within health care delivery systems. This session is designed to provide the practicing case manager with a review of case management practice standards in accordance with American Case Management Association guidelines and ACM certification It will provide intensives for focused review in domains of case management practice including screening and assessment, planning and care coordination/intervention/transitions.

Part 2: The scope of services and standards of practice provide social worker and nurse case managers with a guide by which they can engage in the practice of case management. This session is designed to provide the practicing case manager with a review of case management practice standards which can be applied to case scenarios. It will provide intensives for a focused review of the evaluation domain of case management practice. The session will include case management scenarios presented in an interactive format allowing attendees to apply information gathering, assessment, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
